One inbox, however they reach you
WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, Telegram and email land in the same list as your website chat, and your team can answer from Discord too. The same AI answers first, the same team takes over, and the answer goes back the way the message came.
Supported messaging channels in your inbox
The website chat and its hosted chat page come with every plan, email from Starter, and WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, Telegram and Discord from Growth.
WhatsApp beta
Connect your own business number on Meta’s WhatsApp Cloud API. Messages to it become conversations with the customer’s name and number, pictures and videos travel both ways, and the customer sees their message read when you answer; voice notes, documents and locations are named in the thread for a person. Given your Meta app’s ID, Krisp points the app’s webhook at itself, and it checks every call with your app’s secret.
Instagram beta
Direct messages to your Instagram professional account come in through the Facebook Page it is linked to - one “Continue with Facebook” connects both. Story mentions and shared posts are named in the thread, pictures and videos come in, and your replies go back as text, within 24 hours of the customer’s last message or 7 days for a reply from a person.
Your workspace gets an address of its own - yourshop@on.krisp.chat - and emails sent to it become conversations. Replies a visitor did not see in the chat - yours or the AI’s - go out by email once they have left your website, all in one email, with “Delivered to email” and “Read in email” receipts in the inbox, and the visitor’s answer comes back into the thread. Resolved conversations go out as a transcript. The link back to the chat in each email works once, for a week. Email to visitors is capped each day by plan - 300 on Starter, 1,000 on Growth, 3,000 on Scale - and a reply past the cap is not emailed; the inbox shows why on the reply.
Discord
Conversations are mirrored into a thread on your server, and a reply typed there goes to the visitor. Use the server’s bot, or connect a bot of your own that only you control.
Telegram
Connect a bot you made with BotFather; messages to it become conversations, pictures travel both ways, and your replies go back through the bot. One bot serves one workspace.
Facebook Messenger
Connect your Page with “Continue with Facebook”, or paste a Page token. Messages become conversations, replies go back within Messenger’s windows, and pictures work both ways. A Meta app of your own is supported.
A channel is just where the message came from
It becomes a conversation
Whoever wrote is a contact, with their past conversations; the message is in the inbox with its channel marked, searchable like any other.
Autopilot answers first
Automations and the AI treat it like a website chat - the same knowledge, the same confidence rule, the same hand-off to a person. Order lookups run there too, with the choices typed instead of tapped, whether the AI is on or off. Turn the AI off and every other message goes straight to your team; once a teammate has replied, nothing automatic answers until the conversation is resolved.
Your reply goes back the same way
WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, Telegram, email or the website chat: the answer is delivered where the question came from - whether it was written in the inbox or in a Discord thread - and a delivery that fails is noted in the thread.
