- Status and changelog. This page and a status page that reads the server’s own figures when you open it, both linked from the footer.
- The install code shows at once. In Settings → Setup the code for your site is there before you have listed a website, with a note that it works only on the websites you list and a button to add yours, or
localhostwith a port, on the spot. - One machine, three names. A page opened at
localhost,127.0.0.1or[::1]counts as the same website on your list. When the chat is hidden on a page that is not listed, the browser console now names the address and where to add it, and Setup shows it. - The same plan labels everywhere. Website chat is on every plan, email comes with Starter and up, and Telegram, Discord, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp and Instagram with Growth and up, in beta. The home page, the channel pages and Settings → Channels now say so alike.
- Short addresses.
/inbox,/ai,/widget,/knowledge,/automations,/channels,/contacts,/team,/order-lookupand/appslead to their feature pages. - Contact page. The email address is a link with a copy button, and the live chat card appears only while Krisp’s own chat is switched on.
- Password reset. On the sign-in screen, “Forgot your password?” emails you a link that works once, for 30 minutes. Choosing a new password signs you out on every device. It needs email to be set up on the server.
- Safer sign-in. The most common passwords are refused. After ten wrong passwords an account is closed to browsers it has not signed in from, while you can still sign in from yours. Where email is set up, signing up with an address that already has an account no longer shows that it does.
- Two-step sign-in for a whole workspace. Owners and admins can require it in Settings → Team. Members without it set it up before they can use the workspace.
- @mentions in notes. Type @ in an internal note and pick a teammate. They get an alert, and “Mentions me” in the filters lists the conversations that name you.
- Change many conversations at once. Select up to 200 conversations, in one workspace or across all of them, and resolve, move, assign, tag, mark read or unread, or delete them in one step. All but delete can be undone.
- Saved views. Name the filters on your screen and return to them in one click, for yourself or shared with the workspace.
- A form before the first message. Ask visitors for an email address they may skip, or for a name and an email address, before they write. What they type is saved on their contact.
- Who will reply, and how soon. While a conversation waits for your team, the visitor sees who will reply and about how long your team usually takes. When nobody is online it says so and asks for an email address to send the reply to.
- Talk to a person. A button in the chat hands the conversation to your team without asking the AI first.
- Start a new conversation. After a conversation is resolved, the visitor can start a fresh one; the old one stays resolved.
- The AI can come back. Settings say how long the AI stays out after a teammate replies: until the conversation is resolved, 30 minutes, 2 hours, 24 hours or never. “Let the AI answer again” in a conversation hands it back at any time.
- “Powered by Krisp” can go. From the Starter plan up, turn the line off in Settings → Widget → Krisp branding.
- Shopify order lookup, in beta. Order lookup can answer from your Shopify store: the shopper gives the order number and the email on the order, and sees the order’s status. Nothing is shown unless the email is the one on the order.
- Outgoing webhooks. Settings → Integrations → Webhooks tells an address of yours when a conversation starts, a visitor or your team writes, a status changes, a conversation is resolved or a contact changes. Each request is signed with a secret of its own, and a failed one is tried again. On every plan.
- Customer billing lookup, in beta. Connect your own billing account with a restricted, read-only key and look a customer up by email: their plan, latest payments and refunds, and no card details.
- A 14-day trial of Growth. A new workspace starts on the Growth plan for 14 days, then moves to Free unless you choose a plan.
- A pricing page that says what is set up. The pricing page and the terms name only the ways of paying that are set up, and say about how many AI conversations a plan’s credit buys.
- Phone notifications, groundwork. The server can now send notifications to Android and iPhone phones with the Krisp app signed in. The apps are not in the app stores yet.
- Fixes. Opening the chat on a site no longer logs a postMessage origin warning in the console,
/favicon.icois served, and Delete my account in Settings → Account accepts your password (it used to say it was wrong).
Changelog
What changed in Krisp, and when
Short notes on what we released, newest first. Each is something you can use or see today, and fixes are listed too. For how the product works now, read the feature pages; to see whether it is up, the status page.
- The workspace switcher ticks All workspaces. It is the first choice in the menu (Alt+0). Picking one workspace there, with Alt+1 to 9, or in the inbox’s first filter shows that workspace on its own, so the tick always says what the inbox lists.
- Inboxes of your own. An owner or admin can make inboxes out of tags, and optionally channels. An inbox called Billing holds the conversations tagged
billing. They sit under Inbox in the sidebar with their colour and open count. - Each workspace’s own AI. The AI learns from the answers your team gives, in your workspace only, unless an admin switches it off. A question asked again gets the answer that worked.
- Fixes. Settings → Account says which colour your chat shows. Pictures in conversations of another workspace open, and a picture that fails to load is asked for again. A conversation marked unread just after opening it stays unread. The visitor chat shows the Krisp mark while it loads.
- Dark mode for the dashboard. The account menu offers Match system, Light or Dark. The choice is kept in your browser and applied before the first paint. The visitor chat, the hosted chat page and this website stay light.
- All workspaces in one inbox. If you are in several workspaces, list them all in one inbox or any one of them. Every row carries its workspace’s colour and short label, and a conversation is read and answered in its own workspace.
- A menu on every conversation. Open it in a new tab, change its state, read or pinned mark or assignee, copy its link, block the visitor, or, for admins, delete it.
- A calmer inbox. Drag the list, the details and the reply box to the size you like. Unread conversations come first, then pinned ones. The badge, the tab title and the app icon count unread conversations.
- Reads that retry. The dashboard tries a read again when the connection drops or the server restarts for a release, instead of showing an error at once.
- The website. A sitemap, one address for every page, a page for addresses that do not exist, and Sign up and Sign in addresses that open the dashboard.
- Read receipts. Under the team’s last reply in a website chat the inbox shows Delivered, when it reached the visitor’s browser, or Seen, when it was on their screen.
- A count on the chat button. A reply that arrives while the chat window is closed is counted on the button.
- Email only when it is needed. On plans with email, a reply is emailed only if the visitor did not see it and has left the website, every unseen reply in one email.
- WhatsApp and Instagram, in beta. WhatsApp on your own business number, and Instagram direct messages through your connected Facebook Page, arrive in the same inbox. Both are for Growth and up.
- Your logo on the chat button. From the Starter plan up. The Free plan shows the Krisp mark.
- Who is writing. The visitor’s IP address, region, city and network appear in their profile.
- A chat that recovers. The chat tries again by itself when its settings or session cannot be loaded, instead of ending on an error screen.
- Moving from Crisp. Import every conversation with its messages and People profiles through Crisp’s REST API, and keep your
$crisp.pushcommands working. - Search everything. Press Ctrl+K on any page to search the whole workspace, with filters and a quick look at the chat.
- A new look. Neutral surfaces, one accent colour (your workspace’s), and Settings grouped in a side menu.
- AI off, if you like. Switch the AI chatbot off and visitors talk straight to your team.
- The AI as a chat agent. It keeps a conversation going, with a name, instructions and hand-off mode of your choosing.
- More to teach it. Pasted text and bulk questions and answers, and your whole website crawled and read again every 24 hours.
- Pin and mark as unread in the inbox, and Teach AI this Q&A from a reply.
- The chat button in any corner, with the Krisp mark and a Powered by Krisp.chat line.
- Krisp is live at krisp.chat. A shared inbox, website chat, AI replies with their cost, automations, and plans you buy in Settings → Plan & billing.
